Dexterity is a Core Attribute in New WorldDexterity determines your effectiveness with Ranged Weapons such as Bows and Muskets. Certain one-handed weapons will also scale off of Dexterity slightly, but not as much as they would with StrengthCore Attributes have thresholds every 50 points that grant you different bonuses.

 

Dexterity Information

Dexterity rules directly over the effectiveness output of the following Weapon types: Bows and Muskets

Bows

  • Primary Damage Scaling: Dexterity 1.34 damage per point invested
  • No secondary Damage Scaling.

Muskets

  • Primary Damage Scaling: Dexterity 1.2 damage per point invested
  • Secondary Damage Scaling: Intelligence 0.87 damage per point invested

Rapiers

  • Primary Damage Scaling: Dexterity 1.13 damage per point invested
  • Secondary Damage Scaling: Intelligence 0.81 damage per point invested

Spears

  • Primary Damage Scaling: Dexterity 1.29 damage per point invested
  • Secondary Damage Scaling: Strength 0.92 damage per point invested

 

Dexterity also influences the damage output of Sword and Shield and Hatchets, although to a smaller degree

Hatchets

  • Primary Damage Scaling: Strength 1.15 damage per point invested
  • Secondary Damage Scaling: Dexterity 0.86 damage per point invested

Sword and Shields

  • Primary Damage Scaling: Strength 1.17 damage per point invested
  • Secondary Damage Scaling: Dexterity 0.85 damage per point invested

 

Dexterity Thresholds

Every 50 Points spent on Dexterity, players reach a threshold and two different Bonuses are unlocked. One is Combat-related, while the other one focuses on different Crafting or Gathering skills.

50 +10% chance to critical hit +10 skinning speed
100 +5% thrust damage +20% haste for 3 seconds after skinning
150 Dodging cost 10 less stamina -10% decrease in weight of skinned items
200 +20% bonus backstab and headshot damage +10% skinning speed
250 +30% bonus critical hit damage on stunned, slowed, or rooted enemies +10% yield increase when skinning
300 Ammo has +15% chance of being returned Guaranteed critical hit after a dodge roll
