Woodworking is refining process of turning raw wood gathered through the Logging skill into processed Wood Materials which can then be used in several Engineering recipes as well as Town Projects. Refining skills turn raw resources obtained through Gathering skills into usable Crafting materials and other useful items. Woodworking is the Refining process of turning raw wood gathered through the Logging skill to produce Wood Materials which can then be used in a variety of Crafting applications such as creating Weapons and Furniture. Leveling up in Woodworking allows players to refine fibers into higher-tier pieces of Wood Material for crafting better equipment.
Woodworking is performed at a Woodshop which can often be found in Settlements. Woodshops have a Tier level which can be increased by taking on Town Projects. Note that each type of wood material has a tier level requirement in order to craft. This tier level corresponds to the Woodshop's tier level. If your settlement's Woodshop level does not meet the requirement, you will need to either raise it or find another settlement with a Woodshop of a higher tier. Turning fibers into cloth requires the player to be of the appropriate Woodworking level as well. Leveling up in Woodworking is a straightforward process. Players simply need to continuously process raw wood to raise their level in the skill. Collecting resources, however, is more involved and can prove more difficult.
Woodworking Relies skills
Woodworking is a great complementary skill for Weaponsmithing, Engineering and Furnishing due to the many recipes in this skill line that require wood as crafting ingredients. Woodworking is also directly valuable to players who have invested in the Logging skill as it is the primary source of wood.
