Tower Shields | New World Wiki

Tower Shields are one of the three types of Shields available in New World. Tower Shields, grant players a higher defense (both elemental and physical), than their counterparts. This makes Tower Shields ideal for Tank-oriented Builds. When paired with a Sword, a Tower Shield grants players access to the Sword and Shield Skills tree. This, however, does not limit players to equip a Tower Shield alongside another 1-handed Weapon, like for example, a Rapier.

Tower Shields damage scale primarily with Strength, and to a smaller degree with Dexterity.
