Brilliant Refraction is one of the Legendary Swords in New World. Swords are one of the 11 Weapon types available in New World for the players to choose from, and are ideal for engaging multiple Enemies. Swords damage scale 90% with Strength and 65% with Dexterity.
The blade bends the flow of combat as easily as it bends the light.
Brilliant Refraction Related Masteries
Brilliant Refraction uses the Sword & Shield Mastery, that is divided in two different trees. The Swordmaster, that focuses on boosting the offensive capacities of the player or the Defender, that is oriented towards tanking, reducing incoming damage and boosting the player's defenses.

After significant testing, Meldue does not drop anything higher than rare until you reach level 42. Brilliant Refraction was my first drop from him that was > rare, and I only killed him ~20 times after I hit 42. Prior to that I had killed him 310 times or so. I would suggest not farming this until level 42. I had about 12% +luck on my gear.
