Bows are a type of Weapon in New World. Bows offer quick-firing attacks and skills used to engage enemies from a distance. They require the use of Arrows for each attack. Bows can be obtained in a number of ways: Through Crafting, found as random loot in chests and containers, as random drops by Enemies and Bosses or as rewards for completing Quests. Weapons provide many different options and approaches to combat, allowing the player to deal damage in different ways.
New World Bows Overview
The Bow is a weapon that excels in ranged combat, possessing quick reload speeds and fast repositioning techniques. The Bow requires an Arrow for every shot and each shot travels in an arc, taking some time to reach its target making this a weapon that requires some skill in order to master. The Bow is considerably more agile than the Musket, trading off damage for improved mobility and speed.
The Bow's damage scales purely off of the player's Dexterity Attribute. Investing in this attribute will improve the player's effectiveness with all Bow weapons.
Bow Skills
Bows have two Masteries at their disposal. The Skirmisher tree, focuses on increasing the amount ot damage dealt, while the Hunter tree, grants players crowd control abilities such as Stuns and Knockdowns.
